The Poison

 Poison people everywhere.
Everywhere.  More than ever.

Poisoned by algorithms.
I saw them coming a long time ago.
But I thought people would be a little smarter

and I thought experts would guide them

Experts are all dead.
Or they might as well be.
Everyone who needs them
has been brainwashed to think of them

As the enemy

as pedophiles.

SO some people poured their love over me.

Spayed it with a firehose

Some people made me care.

But then their poison shot out of

their mouths

their eyes

and their cartoon finger tip

72 degrees feels like 92 degrees in their hate

They smiled and said,

Hey! I'm your friend! You can trust me!

And you can see they need a friend because they've been through horrible things

So you open that door in your chest and say,

Come on in!  It's really warm in here!

And it's platonic.  Completely un-selfish.

Then you see a thorn in their head

and you say,

Oh, you have a thorn. It's harming you.

Don't worry, I'm your friend and I'll get that out.

So you pull it.

And the poison explodes.

It doesn't kill you.

But it's thick and pitch black like tar

and you can't get it off you

Or out from inside you

And everything is damaged.

So now all the good people who deserve to visit can't stay

and they leave with tar on their feet and in their eyes

Then while you're damaged, all the pollutants that

you once easily fended off enter

and they all do their damage

and you can no longer even self manage

so you do self damage

and so I fell. I'm fallen.

and I barely care what you think.

Which is weird.

and now I'm naked all the time

and people keep BANGING on the fuckin door

and tearing it open.

and you feel guilty for reacting badly to it.

Sorry to everyone who came here on a date
